For those of you out there thinking things aren't getting better, keep in mind that it wasn't that long ago when Republicans would have run to MSNBC and DEMANDED a retraction to that kind of language and MSNBC would not only have issued a heartfelt apology but would have fired Ed for saying that kind of thing.

There are STILL people who consider this kind of thing to be "brave" when it's simply stating reality.

When Big Ed is pissed, its time to take action. Repugs need to be stopped on this. Then kick their ass for attempting to privitatize it. As a matter of fact, repeal any law they passed when the drunk was squatting there.

7. With insurance companies requiring prescriptions to be filled through their mail-order pharmacies,

this could create a very inconvenient backlog, perhaps critically so for some waiting on their medications. The USPS is the most economical shipping choice, too.

Rep. Connolly pointed out that the postmaster general doesn't have the constitutional or statutory authority to make this decision & he seemed to have fire in his belly about taking legal action. As he also mentioned, the USPS is the only service actually stipulated in the Constitution.

8. Ed Schultz is pulling an MSNBC version of Shawn Hannity

ED SCHULTZ IS PULLING A 'HANNITY'
He is not telling the truth about the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act (2006; 109th Congress)

** BLAME THE DEMS ** Without the blessings and votes of Democrats the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act 2006 would NEVER HAVE HAPPENED!

2 of the 3 cosponsors for this bill were Democrats -- including Henry WAXMAN
The bill was introduced by Rep. Thomas Davis [R-VA] and had three cosponsors:

** Danny Davis [D-IL]
** Henry Waxman [D-CA]
John McHugh [R-NY]

VOTES:
House: (Voice Vote)
YES: 410
NO: 20

Senate by voice majority

The GOP DID NOT have a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate, ** ALL ** 44 Democrats and the lone independent [Bernie Sanders] in the Senate consented to the bill

AND, they could act NOW to help rectify their giant screwing of the Postal Service, but not unless they are exposed for their 'original sin,' and their feet held to the fire. YES, threats of PRIMARYing their sorry corporate asses!

FOR SOME REASON, ED SCHULTZ WILL NOT TELL YOU THE TRUTH. He wants to lay the blame on the GOP, but they were powerless without the massive DEM sell out. TELL THE WHOLE TRUTH ED!

WE MUST CLEAN UP OUR PARTY!

10. And this is hurting small businesses on the net that use USPS for mailings. They just upped

their fees for the first time in a long time. I had always prided myself on keeping shipping costs low because I personally hate paying shipping costs. But I got a $9.00 charge for some gemstones to Italy which I used to be able to ship for about $3 something and 1. I foolishly went to the pack and ship instead of the post office even though they said it is the same prices they are always higher 2. The lowest price to ship a small bubble envelope about 3 ounces was $9.20.

I had collected only $2.00 shipping so accounting for what I paid for the stones I considered it a wash, (because I don't want to consider I lost money).

So now on my little Etsy stores I have gone around and put all US shipping - 1-5 ounces at $5.00 which I consider high. And overseas I put $10.00. I expect this to have a negative impact on my sales but what can I do? Others are in the same situation. I don't blame the post office. I wish I bought more forever stamps although I don't know how that would work.

I doubt the Republicans are thinking about how many little businesses they are hurting with these efforts to demolish the post office. We can't afford to ship Fed Ex or UPS.

The tiny url in my signature leads to one of the sites and it should have a link to the other.

12. Republicans are moving the US Post Office to the Wal-Mart Model; no benefits or pensions

with 2 day per week delivery. Citizens would have to either wait on delivery or use the over priced privatized system being set up by Congress and the lobbyist of private business.

According to the Constitution, there has to be a Post Office. Republicans are making life in America one of a third world country. I think that if this is not turned around, it will become a campaign issue as it will be hardest on rural America, a Republican stronghold.

Maybe it will help remove Congressman Issa.
