The (Cheaper) Future of Medicine

This is a fascinating video about the future of medicine and how smart phones and computer programs will make medical care cheaper in the future.

My question: This will mean fewer jobs for nurses, doctors and other medical personnel.

Technology is making human labor less and less important, less and less valuable. How will we allocate access to all these new discoveries and inventions in a world in which work does not earn a living or the right to buy food and a place to sleep, much less smart phones?

Seems to me the big problem won't be the health of our bodies but the health of our economy. Are we ready to make the changes in our attitudes and lifestyles that the future may make possible?
