I always viewed his departure as a smart ethnic decision. A latin american in Georgia who didn't know about all of his group's ethnic tolerance levels decides to set out on his own to reunite his family with other family members. Very prudent.
I don't get the impression he escaped what he was trying to avoid.

(56,828 posts)at how they brought him back. I thought the scene where Meryl and Daryl found a family trapped in a car on a bridge surrounded by walkers would have been a great way to have him brought back. The scene mentioned online seemed a bit forced, but maybe they'll develop it more in the coming weeks?

(90,767 posts)Sort of a build-up for the next show. A build-up for those who will die next week.
Guess Morales didn't make it to the family he was talking about in the 1st season and along the way lost his wife and children. (maybe)
Poor Morales - he has no clue how far Rick will go to win. He remembers a very different Rick.
Worried about Shiva.
Morgan reverted to "clearing" again for a few minutes there.
Someone needs to get Gracie and take her back to Alexandria. I'm worried about her now dammit.
Other than Gracie, they should kill all of the Saviors. Well, maybe allow Dwight to live - but kill Eugene. Better yet, take Eugene out for a drive in the country and ditch him. I know this won't happen - but it should.
Hope Gabriel is OK. Damn man has grown on me. He has helped to keep Judith alive, so he has value to me.
Yes, Judith means more to me than the majority of the rest. Shiva means more to me than many of the characters.
Carol and the King. (it's gonna happen!)
Rick and Michonne can raise Gracie, along with Judith and Carl.
Carl needs to cut his hair. It's awful. It truly is awful. Seriously - Chandler Riggs - the hair is not attractive. Some people simply can't wear long hair. You're one of those people. Don't believe me? All you have to do is look to Jesus (Tom Payne) - now He can wear long hair and wear it well. King Ezekiel can. Jesus can. Michonne can. Carl? Not so much.
Though I think the Michonne character should wear her hair like the actress Danai Gurira. Danai Gurira is positively beautiful.
If I was caught in the zombie apocalypse, I'd cut my hair. One less thing to be grabbed while escaping. Also, I can't stand the thought of long dirty hair.
Daryl, Rick, Carl, and Carol - that's it. Those are the only people Morales would know - the Atlanta group. Everyone else is dead.
Trying to remember...
After the zombie attack on the hill outside the perimeter in Atlanta - living, not bitten (Jim - turned and who knows if he's a zombie or met his final death - probably a zombie who likes to dig holes instead of eating people)
T-Dog - dead- prison
Glenn - dead - Alexandria
Lori - dead - prison
Merle - parts unknown at the time of the attack - then dies later.
Dale - dead - farm
Andrea - dead - prison/woodbury
Sophia - dead - before farm missing/dies and at the farm for the final death.
Shane - dead - farm x 2.
Morales and family decide to leave to look for family after attack. Obviously that didn't pan out.

(12,047 posts)Like they're gonna turn to Rick's side because they're nicer? They probably have all their wives and kids back with the main Saviors group.
Other than the dreamy close ups they used tried to get us to love their actors again - it was a good episode. Going after the satellite camps makes sense.
It's going to be a long war

(720 posts)Beat Glenn and Abraham to death, but got back into it recently when I watched the last season of Fear The Walking Dead. So I'm caught up on both Fear and the original. I thought they've done a pretty decent job the last half of season 7 and first 2 episodes of this season.
