(13,928 posts)I can usually figure out typos (not to brag, but I have been referred to as 'Typo King'), but "eaking" threw me.
Sorry about the arthritis, that sucks.

(6,808 posts)This morning I had cottage cheese, sourdough toast, a piece of pineapple, and coffee. Other mornings I will have yogurt, fruit or fruit juice, sometimes scrambled eggs or oatmeal.

(9,275 posts)Mid-morning a banana or yogurt.
Of course if someone puts a good breakfast in front of me or if I have time to go out (like on vacation) that's different.

(4,522 posts)But that doesn't always mean I eat breakfast food. 2 of my favs for breakfast are left-over pasta or pinto beans.

(16,334 posts)I like a big breakfast of real food. Sometimes I make dinner for breakfast if I don't have sufficient leftovers.

(13,199 posts)At work I'll get a 0900 bag of Doritos.
On the weekend my wife and I get takeout biscuits and gravy at the local gas station, deli, liquor store, bait, fishing license and tackle store.
I may have mentioned before that we live in a very small rural town.
BTW, It's delicious. The biscuits are soft and moist and the sausage gravy is savory without being salty. They make outstanding hoagies as well.

(13,199 posts)I can do a decent gravy, but we can't come close to the biscuits the ladies who work down at the Phillip's 66 make.
Have a great weekend irisblue!

(1,765 posts)M-F during work it depends on how many meetings I have in the morning and how much free time I have. During work my breakfast consists of grabbing something in the cafe at work.
On the weekends I always eat breakfast.

(2,404 posts)Cream of Rice with half-n-half to a bagel with lox and cream cheese to an Epic or Larabar with a cheese stick. A cup of two of coffee followed by tea mid morning.
Nothing too heavy in the morning.

(34,138 posts)Right now I am eating dry cereal - for that I rotate among Cheerios, Life, and Honey Bunches of Os. Once I am done with operations and recovery I will go back to cooked cereal - which is actually not oatmeal but a combination of various flaked cereals (wheat, rye, etal).
When traveling I'll get a more elaborate breakfast - waffles, pancakes, or my special go to breakfast of two eggs sunny-side up, three slices of bacon, and two slices of whole wheat toast. I make a sandwich of the toast and bacon and mop up the runny yolks with that- YUM!
I just can't handle that much cooking first thing in the morning - though on occasion I have made a batch of oven baked French toast or a French toast casserole thing and can re-heat pieces in the morning.

(12,132 posts)I sometimes eat it out but only after I've been up for a while. Almost brunch really and only on weekends or vacation weekdays.
I alternate between pancakes/french toast or other really sweet things and eggs/omelettes.
But, no matter what, if I do have breakfast, there will be bacon.

(60,024 posts)We alternate cereal (two types with homemade granola, plump raisins and frozen blueberries) and a pot of my home roasted coffee.
Weekend - either pumpkin waffles or an apple cinnamon Dutch baby
One day per week - home made cornbread with home made strawberry jam.
