put together a Swing Band in the Mid Fifties. We did only Forties Music trying our darnest to copy Guy Lombardo and The Royal Canadians. Bunch of Farm Kids playing Joints for Beer and Burgers on Saturday Nights.

huge change. So that would start with The Beatles, Stones and some of the others. Neil Diamond and Carol King had first been just song writers before as well. We learned a singer didn't have to have the prettiest voice to give the most powerful performance, especially if it was his/her own song. That's why I call it for about 1965-the early 80's for my favorites, but it continues.

No matter era or genre, 90 percent of it is crap.

There is great music from every decade, but the fidelity and the stability of media from the late 50s on makes us forget how good old music was.

Keep listening and support your local venues.

obviously with some less choice selections in each year as well.

Percentage-wise, we haven't seen that level of quality music in decades.
