RIP Nancy Zieman,

kept a dying art alive in pre internet days and was a #girlboss before that was even a word. an idol of mine, many days sitting in front of the tv waiting for her show/tips - the only information on sewing you were likely to get back in the 80's

She brought a lot of joy and carried on a tradition. Not many of us can say we did that.

I learned how to make perfect shirt collars from her back in the '80s. I have her book of sewing techniques for busy women on my shelf right now.

RIP Nancy. Thanks for teaching us so much. You will be missed.

Her face was very asymetrical because of partial paralysis from Bell's Palsy. Many women would choose to not be in the public eye in that situation and certainly not have a TV show. Kudos to her and to PBS.

She helped so many people get into sewing and up their skills, and the catalog was full of fun stuff.
