Question about Walking Dead Finale. Spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen it.

The writers were surprised that we were surprised that Karl got bit by a walker. They wrote the bite scene in a way that they thought it was apparent.

That's not my question. I was thinking that there has to be a positive to come from this event and, we might see that in the next episode. Unless, the location of the sewer retreat was one of the benefits of bumping into Siddiq? Because, those sewers were a Godsend. Was that Siddig's hiding place?

under Alexandria before.

Maggie had a famous encounter with "sewer zombies" while trying to go out and find Glenn when horde was at the walls.

I think knocking off Carl is a recognition by the producers that "Walking Dead" has a "best buy date" and the end is near. Carl's story is a major arc in Kirkman's ongoing comic, so this is a real jump-off - for me, signaling a conclusion to Rick's story and the end of "Walking Dead."

that his son wanted to go to college full time.

I knew it was coming, and good for him.

scene was. I do remember thinking "Damn, Carl should be more careful by now", but he drove me nuts when he was little and never seemed to stay in the house when he should! He has grown on me since then!

I would like to see something related to Gabriel being sick, and with a real doctor, that maybe they are going to try to see if they can make a vaccine or something. I have always been disappointed with how little the story lines go into "what happened?". I am getting a little tired of the people seem to turn to crappy humans. Guns and fighting all the time!I would rather see more about how they are relearning how to grow things to eat! The Saviors remind me an awful lot of trump supporters (being bullies). Maybe the Siddiq character knows something about medicine and could work in a story line like that.

I know it is a show about zombies, so I have to let a lot of reality go, but I am really tired of them driving so many vehicles! I am pretty sure the gas would be long gone bad by now, as would most batteries.

It seems like if Carl dies, Rick is going to have a hard time keeping up his will to survive. And as much as I would like to see him take out Negan, I bet he is going to listen to what Carl said about not killing him but trying to work with him.
