In every Christmas movie Santa lands on a roof, does his thing, then flies away.

Shouldn't he be wearing out the reindeer by taking off and then touching down on every house? It takes my mailman ten minutes to get my whole neighborhood, but Santa takes off and disappears into the night, screwing over the whole town with the exception on that one house.

Maybe he lands on one roof and then hops from house to house until he needs to come back to the sleigh for more gifts - much like the mailman walks down the block and delivers all the mail in his sack, then goes back to his truck and moves on to the next neighborhood.
