(25,868 posts)I'm actually totally fascinated by earthquakes and have read several books on the topic, the very best of which, in my opinion, is On Shaky Ground by John Nance.

The real worry of a 9.0+ is up along the Cascadia Subduction Zone, off the coasts of OR, WA and British Columbia.

(25,868 posts)The John Nance book On Shaky Grounds has at least one, maybe several, chapters on it. I had not yet heard of the New Madrid fault and those earthquakes until I read that book.
