Which explains why Felix keeps getting in the way when I'm trying to pour water into the dog's dish...

I now put her in another room with the door closed and take my shower.

But he got splashed a few times, so he quit doing that, but he still gets in the way when I'm pouring fresh water in the dog's dish. A lot of cats do prefer running water. I know people who turn the water on for their cats who want a drink, but that doesn't mean they like getting wet. I also have to watch Felix because he has been known to splash in the dog's dish.

I should give these kitty's a bath, they would leave marks... I will leave that up to a professional. They love cold water to drink. Luna loves to knock over her water dishes, I tried Velcro, that did not work.

They also make fountains for cats. That might be a solution, but for Felix, he'd probably make a bigger mess.

I know it's important to encourage cats to drink more, and Felix starts out that way, but then he reverts to splashing. His own dish isn't wide enough for that, but the dog's dish tempts him to splash. Since I found him as a little guy, I've often wondered if he drank from puddles.

Cats are obsessed with running water from bathtubs and sinks. You might want to provide Luna with a trickle flow in the bathtub so she can drink and play in the water. Usually 5 minutes of flow 2-3 times a day may satisfy her obsession. I have a cat that has several water bowls but insists on drinking out of the faucet in the bathroom sink.
