Happy 70th Birthday to Singer/Actress/Liberal Icon Barbra Streisand

What can you say about a legend?

She's been a champion of women's rights, LGBT issues, the environment, and civil rights before most of us were born. And she's been in the entertainment biz for 50 years--the only artist to have a #1 album in 5 consecutive decades. She's won 2 Oscars, 5 Emmys, a Tony, and 8 Grammys. She was on Nixon's enemies list.

In short: she's a badass.

Here are a few of her most superlative live performances through the years:

(When the Sun Comes Out, My Name is Barbra - 1965)

(The Way We Were, Funny Girl to Funny Lady - 1975)

(If I Loved You, The Broadway Album - 1985)

(If You Go Away, One Night Only: Live at the Village Vanguard - 2009)

It was a travesty that the Oscar wasn't given to her alone instead of split. And she should have gotten others. But Peter O'TOOLE didn't get any, so there it be.

Happy birthday, Ms STREISAND.
