Anyone here familiar with the Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator?

From Imgur:

In [the movie] Soldier one of the weapons Kurt Russel's character is listed as being proficient with is the "Illudium PU36 ESM" which refers to the Illudium PU36 Explosive Space Modulator from Looney Tunes Marvin the Martian

5. You posted something pertaining to youth pop culture which is a total mystery to me.

And last week another young person posted something along the same lines
about apparent iconic comic book figures. I was clueless, but a nice younger person
explained it all to me. A group by the name of someone and the pussycats.

Your post is the same thing.

Someday when you are old, most of the people younger than you will start talking about things
you have never heard of.... I am trying to keep in touch with pop culture but it is a losing battle.

Sorry to confuse you, it was a feeble attempt at humor.

But it is nice to be on a site with a wide range of ages, interests and work backgrounds.
All united by a single common thread.

Pop culture is tricky. I'm thinking that it doesn't have a whole lot of inherent value, other than as an aid to help us connect with our peers.

In this case, I knew the Looney Tunes reference (ca. 1958), thanks to my classically oriented education. I was only vaguely familiar with Soldier (ca. 1998), as I was then beginning the process of losing touch with all pop culture.

Oh, by the way, I know of Josie. She's a bit after my cartoon heyday.

11. Pop culture is a rich source of information about a generation of young people.

A stark look at the soul and interests of a group.
Fads and interests usually happen for a reason.

I have been surprised at the interest in animated stories, films and comic books by people
well into their 40's.

I would not be surprised if college campuses gave classes on comic book culture.
Maybe just not as part of a classics curriculum.

As I said, I enjoy the wide age range on this forum, and every now and then have to stick
my nose in topics about which I am clueless.

Thank you for your reply!

(I still have no idea what the OP means, but I will google it!)

13. Yes look at it from a psycho-social standpoint, and a way to connect with other generations.

Or at least understand them better.

If you notice there is a huge interest in fantasy, often dark fantasy.
Magic, zombies, comic book characters.

And a comeback of fantasy/ sci-fi classics from the past.
X-Files, Twilight Zone, Star Trek.
I loved these shows, so it is fun to see young people like them too.

But interesting that this is an interest, perhaps an escape from the stresses facing young people.

I know, this forum has so many interesting, and smart people, I am always having
to revise my perspective on any given topic.

Have you considered writing an essay on this?

You make good points and you write very well.

There are probably experts who have written dissertations and books about the psycho-social aspects of pop culture.

Edited to add: I hope you got an answer to your OP question about the Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator.

I am a pretty particular reader, though, and I think you're on to something.

The "experts" excuse is a fail, no offense intended.

I like to think that the Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator question will never be fully answered, but I appreciate the sentiment.

In terms of the Q-36, sometimes the discussion is more fun than the answer.

Along with a bunch of F-52s. I think he is using the funds to off set the wall building expenses as those damn Mexicans keep refusing to pay after Trump promised they would. Shame on him for selling out super secret stuff
