Today at a 12-step group meeting a woman from Boston brought a treat I identified as Divinity Fudge. She said they were called Snowballs.
I'd never heard of them. I thought Divinity Fudge was a Southern thang (sic).
What say you? They were to die for.

The name of the cookies are Eatmore Goodie Cookies.
The recipe is from 1964.
The recipe calls for nuts.
We used home grown, fresh cracked walnuts.
They are truly ADDICTIVE !!!
If you Google Eatmore Goodie Cookies, it is the very first link.

(38,002 posts)My mom made it every Xmas. When done right the walnuts temper the sweetness of the other ingredients.
My mother used walnuts - which I think was personal twist. I see many recipes use pecans. They don't know what they're missing.
