Just tried to call my son

I saw him yesterday and he was talking about putting together a bureau for the soon to be born baby.

He's taking his wife to the hospital. Not for delivery. She got rear-ended on her way to work.

The trip to the hospital is precautionary, but I have to admit I'm a bit nervous.

Baby due in 5 weeks... my little Lily

Young people are strong, and babies are protected. I've been rear-ended twice. All ok. lindysalsagal Jan 2018 #3

I fell on uneven driveway edging just over 6 wks out from my son's due date. I thought it was rather a soft landing in the grass and felt fine. Didn't feel anything was wrong, but called my dr who insisted I go into the ER to be checked out. Long story short, they hooked me up to monitors for an hour or so and found I was having consistent contractions. Ended up staying in the hospital the next 4 days while they administered a course of magnesium to stop the contractions. I still went into early labor a couple of days after being released. Our son was born 32 days early, but was a healthy 6 lbs. and was able to go home with me when I was released.

Hope everything checks out fine for your son and DIL.
