but un-mixed. Makes one not care.

Non-booze, I'd recommend lemon and honey or peppermint and honey.

that *would* probably help by freezing it up (and taste delicious--although i've only had the chocolate version)

but I suspect that my sore throat is caused by medications, not by bugs. I drank a gin martini and a couple of glasses of red wine. The sore throat is gone. Try to vodka tonic.

Because most things that are associated with a sore throat are also associated with a need for pletiful water.

However, my theory is wash the water down with some nice red wine. That way, you may not care as much about how much water you had to drink.

With super painful sore throats I let garlic powder drizzle down my throat. If not so severe, I go with garlic toast or garlic bread sticks. So I say garlic bread and a beer.😬

fresh ginger is best. slice & boil, you can just keep adding more ginger to the water. It burns a little but it feels good. You could add honey

Just cut a few pieces up and put in hot water. And after that, you can sip on herbal tea with some honey. I was in the same situation a couple of weeks ago... I hope you feel better...

slippery elm contains compounds that are both germ-killing and histamine balancing allowing it to soothe and bring down irritation, swelling, and by extension, pain. Slippery elm will often keep the beginning stages of a sore throat from taking hold as well as get rid of the worst cases after a few doses.

A sore throat is inflammed. Warm drinks may feel good initially, but cause more inflammation. A Chinese dictor told me hot tea is the WORST.

If your throat hurts because it is full of gunk, drink lemon juice to help strip it away. The tomato juice in the bloody mary might be acidic enough to do that.

If it hurts because it is raw, eating honey or sucking on a hard candy will help coat your throat, easing the irritation. The Bailey's might work for that. Sounds very creamy and would probably coat.

Many years ago, I had a sore throat that was not only scratchy, but it felt hot. That's when my slurpee addiction took hold.

Not only will it feel great going down, they come in many different flavors.
