He had a good life exploring our back yard (and others in his younger days), napping with his friend Tigger, and was a pleasant friend who reliably groomed our hair and slept on our feet at night. He will be missed.

(3,433 posts)I had a Pippin too. He passed away 8 years ago. He loved to follow my mom around in the yard and sit under the swing while she read. I miss him.
I am sorry for your loss.

And yet, he crossed the rainbow bridge...what a beautiful way to describe that dance which we all must do.
Pippin is a beautiful name, too.

I do take heart from "He had a good life..." though. I am totally certain he did.

(176 posts)He looks alot like one if my boys, Woody, who passed years ago. I still miss him and still feel him crossing my bed at night. Just know that when you reach the 'bridge', he will be there waiting to welcome you!

They take up such a huge space in our hearts, despite their small size.
Pippin has earned his rest, and will live in your memory. As the Egyptians put it: "You are at play, forever young, on the blessed Isle of Reeds."

Go get another puss who needs another home!
I was not in the market for a cat, but I rescued one who was living in the wall behind one of the laundry rooms in my apartment complex and she's the sweetest thing in the world. She must be attached to me at all times.

(94,591 posts)Pippin had a heart condition, but had been to the vet two weeks ago and appeared to be fine. This was an abrupt collapse that we weren't prepared for.

(2,001 posts)The vet said his heart was thicker on one side rather then both the same, Called it sudden death disease. He just stopped eating, I swear my wife and I spent hundreds on every different cat food there was thinking maybe that would help. He did finally settle on these little broths we found, But would not eat anything solid. I hope your day is going a little better today brooklynite.
