What kind of dog is this? (UPDATED)

Last edited Fri Jan 26, 2018, 06:24 PM - Edit history (3)

Can anyone say what kind of dog this is? He's adorable.

UPDATE:

Here are both of Jake Tapper's dogs. Adorable. The boy tan dog is Winston (an Australian Terrier) and the one on the right is Clementine! (a maltese/dachsund mix). Thanks to demmiblue's post, who found the answer. Phew. I wanted to consider getting a dog like Clementine in the future, but since she's a mix, she's a one-of-a-kind!

Could this be a shih tzu? A Lhasa Apso? Lhasas have slightly longer snouts? I used to have a Lhasa.

See, that's what I mean. I've seen pics of dogs like this occasionally, but I've never known what kind of dog it is.

The name isn't Winston. That's his Australian Terrier. THIS one is a girl...don't know her name. I couldn't place the breed exactly. I love her! I want a dog like her! But she is UNIQUE, so I can't have one. (I would do only rescue, though.)

Clementine (the dog in your OP) is the female Maltese/dachshund mix.

Winston was giving his little sis, Clementine, a shout-out.

They are VERY dangerous, known to eat potted pants, chase dirigibles, plot Coup d'Etats, knit naughty appendage coverings, throw their weight around at garden parties and are generally disagreeable in nature.

Avoid at all costs.
