Perhaps you don't think of Illinois but it's one of the fastest growing wine producing states in the U.S. with an average of five new Illinois wineries opening each year. French-American hybrids and native American grapes are the primary grapes planted, with Chambourcin and Norton increasing in popularity.

I confess to be an American wine chauvinist. It's how I show my love of country.

Although I endorse Argentine, Chilean, and Australian wines out of a sense of duty to internationalism...

Not much better in my book.

For a rea$onable (like, every night) kinda wine, there's been a number of good years out of Bogle over the past 7 years or so ...
