This next one hits close to home, because I missed a Metro by that much last Friday evening, and the delay snowballed. Seriously. I saw the train waiting at New Carrollton (the end of the Orange Line) as my bus pulled up. I was already way late. I hustled to get that train, but just as I reached the top of the escalator, I heard, "please step back. Doors closing." That ten second difference caused me to miss another train and bus later on. "For want of a horse," etc.

Trump's supposed military parade is gonna get lost and/or stuck in DC traffic like the rest of us. Tanks stuck on the gw memorial parkway, battalions of soldiers missing their metro by just that much lmfao. But hey what's the cost of a parade compared to our trillion $ deficit?
