Pssst! I am being followed by Russian operatives

Let me 'splain ... no,I will sum up:

Several years ago my wife and I were online govt. instructors at a fair sized community college in REDACTED. I am borderline technologically illiterate - my wife is not - but what made it all work was the fantastic IT dept. They had adopted a fantastic open source platform which alowed me the freedom and flexibility to set up my class my way and the support to manage it.

One thing still left me flumoxed, however: security. Frankly I have always had the sneaking suspicion that most viruses were created by the companies that sell security programs. Sort of a cyber protection racket: "Nice computer you have got there, would shame if burned down."

The IT folks at this college suggested the protection that they went with. It had a friendly sounding name, reminiscent of Casper the friendly ghost.

You can see where I'm going with this.

They told my wife that they recommended "Casper Sky" and even sent her a download ... which we dutifully loaded on our computer.

I am not blaming REDACTED Community College for getting Comerade Kaspersky on my computer.

But that was several years ago!I have been through several computers and telephones since then.

Now my current phone is not working. Just before it went boom I see,
you guessed it,

Comerade Kaspersky.

I wonder if it has anything to do with all of the anti-Trumpposts I make?

Went by Cricket to see if they could do something with it.

Nice guy at the counter worked with it a while

He told me he thought he might get Kaspersky out of it

I suggested that the State Department had an extra $130million if he needed

He didn't need it though

now I have a phone that works ...
