Tonight's Vinyl Selection

Houses of the Holy

Led Zeppelin

1973

A diverse collection of styles (folksy, blues rock, funky guitar riffs) that many critics consider Led Zep's masterpiece (but how can you choose any one of their albums over another?)

Includes "The Song Remains the Same," a little bit of love for James Brown with "The Crunge", a bit of reggae in "D'Yer Ma'Ker" and "The Ocean" (how can anyone sit still listening to that guitar riff!!)

Love it, love it!

The year I graduated high school.

Years before, listening to Whole Lotta Love on the headphones was a revelation.

Thought my older sister and I lost our minds because we went crazy for LZ.

She saw em live , too -- must have been one helluva show!
