It is only a half hour and two seasons. I have a bunch of others to recommend, but we all have our own tastes. There is a Netflix/streaming group on DU.

Ten episodes. Beauty part is that it wraps up in a single season, so, if you watch it, you're not left wondering what next season will bring.

Crime, corruption, racism, alcoholism, police brutality, crooked Justice System. I was on the edge of my seat for much of it. I'd recommend it to anyone.

It is a short British 8 episode series - each one around 22 minutes. A little graphic, but a terrific story, excellent writing and outstanding acting.

It's just ten half-hour episodes and so witty, unexpected, complex and thought-provoking. And it never lectures; everyone's different points of views are respected.

I loved that show!

I think it’s from a graphic novel. She’s a dark character with some superpowers and a lot of attitude and the villain is one of the meanest villains of all time. The short explanation is for the OP.

Requisite scenery, Mountie, stalwart and strong women, Season 4 just dropped,

Hart of Dixie. Cute little number set in a small town near Mobile AL Hilarious scripting, good Southern accents and a good fish out of water plotline

which I watched originally when it was televised years ago. Damn, it's brilliant.
I had not been aware that Lawrence O'Donnell was so heavily involved with the show as a
producer and writer from 1999-2006. In fact he won the Emmy for Outstanding TV Drama Series for The West Wing in 2001.
