Jodi Foster was wearing flats and Jennifer Lawrence probably had on 4 inch heels, so yeah it would look like that.

4. Foster is hardly leaning over and losing 5 inches.

But she is probably in flats and Lawrence in 3 or 4 inch heels.

7. I have been on crutches.

And I'm a bit shorter than Foster. The leg she's standing on will be straight. (Mine always was) The bent one won't be carrying her weight. It's bent to hold it up while using the crutches because you can't put weight on it. And the bend over to use the crutches isn't three inches. In fact, if you're using them properly you'll be bending very little, and that's when actually moving. In the picture, Foster is standing upright. Think about it. 5'3" less five inches would shrink her down to 4'10", and her apparent height is no where near that short.

She's wearing flats. Lawrence is already taller and is probably wearing at least 3 inch heels.

8. Utter nonsense. Her flats are also at play, as is the angle of the photo

and the fact that Lawrence is wearing heels--all combine with her hunching over on bended knee with crutches to play in to the seemingly 9 inch difference in the photo.

9. I don't see her as hunched over.

She's standing straight. The photo published doesn't show their respective feet and shoes, but just as you don't stand with your knees bent a couple of inches when not on crutches, you don't do it when on crutches. Her elbows have only a slight bend in them. If she were hunched over some three inches, the elbows would be bent the same amount.

For what it's worth, my own experience with crutches came about when I was seven and a half months pregnant with my first child. I stood up straight when still. I did not crouch down on a bent knee. And I didn't hunch over when travelling with the crutches.

I am short, have had multiple episodes on crutches and I know better.

So, go find someone else to argue with. UTTER NONSENSE

11. You bend your knee a couple of inches when standing still on crutches?

That seems painful, awkward and weird.

Do you always stand still with knees bent? Most people don't.

And so I've only had one time in my life that I've been on crutches, but to claim that someone stands about five inches shorter then doesn't make sense. I'd say flat out wrong, but heck, what do I know?

The two women have a height disparity to begin with. The shorter one is in flats, the taller one in heels so the height disparity is even greater.

I can't figure out why you're arguing in favor of hunching over.

If you want to keep arguing to no avail, perhaps you might enjoy time among others that argue the same thing over and over and over and over and over again. That's not me. That's why I stay out of the gungeon for example. Goodbye

13. I'm arguing because you made the ludicrous statement
Mon Mar 5, 2018, 01:23 PM

that she's standing on a bent knee and further hunched over another three inches. Which is obviously not true just looking at the picture. And you claim this is true because of your experience on crutches, and I'm expressing astonishment that you stand on a bent knee and hunch over when using crutches.

Your argument for argument's sake is UTTERLY RIDICULOUS.

Apparently you think you are the expert on all things crutches. Guess what? You are NOT. But I will waste no more time on you.
