and everywhere there are gigantic piles of dirty snow that are slowly (too slowly) melting and creating mud. It will be a couple of weeks before they are gone, assuming it doesn't snow some more. The trees are starting to get that fuzzy look, though, and I've seen some geese flying north, so there's hope.

But I sure am getting tired of looking at dirty snow and mud.

Little piles of melting snow that are mostly dirt.

I'm always grateful when those finally disappear.

crappy weather makes it much more difficult to get things done. Cabin fever set in long ago. Can't wait till real Spring arrives. NY sucks this time of year.

but with a high of 67 degrees. The cherry blossoms and other flowering trees and shrubs (e.g. forsythia) are in full blossom, the daffodils have been in bloom so long they are starting to fade a little but hyacinths still in their glory, and my front yard has erupted in two colors of violets. It is truly one of the prettiest times of year here. Come on down!

Winter never sees much snow where I live, but I sure get sick of the unrelenting blanket of grey drizzle day after day.

but I here that eastern MA is going to get hit harder that we will in-land. Of course the people on the coast had all that flooding a couple of weeks ago.

We got 16" last week, and the clutch on our truck was out, so we had to shovel. My guy fixed the clutch so I'm hoping we're in the clear.

And I hear it might get into the 40s over the weekend.

even mentioned Puerto Rico. Then I remembered what they went through this year.

I'm thinking Vegas.
