Are you supposed to brush your teeth before or after breakfast?

I'm only asking about what most of us would consider the meal eaten in the morning after getting out of bed.

If you're into Waffle House-quality comestibles, recommend brushing after eating; there's less chance of tasting the food that way.

is to brush (with mouthwash) after breakfast/brunch, and do the same thing along with flossing right before going to bed at night.
