I was a horrible teenager, and no Jesus. I think a few times I heard my parents covering the phone receiver with their hands and cackling like James Bond villains whenever I was seeking their sympathy about trials and terrors with my own teenage children.

Thankfully my kids as teenagers didn't put me through quite the same hell I did with my parents.

When one of my kids disappeared for a few hours in extremely disturbing circumstances I was not so subtly reminded that I'd disappeared as a teen in equally extremely disturbing circumstances for a few weeks...

My kids turned out awesome adults. And I like to think I'm so deeply scarred and battle hardened as a designated responsible adult I could handle any teenage Jesus.

Good book.

From https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamb:_The_Gospel_According_to_Biff,_Christ%27s_Childhood_Pal

Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal is a novel by American writer Christopher Moore, published in 2002. In this work the author seeks to fill in the "lost" years of Jesus through the eyes of Jesus' childhood pal, "Levi bar Alphaeus who is called Biff".[2]

...

The recounting of Jesus' human and godlike qualities, combined with Biff's earthy debauchery, humorously explains the origins of judo and cappuccino; reasons that Jews eat Chinese food on Christmas; and how rabbits became associated with Easter. The Three Wise Men, Mary Magdalene, Joseph, and Mary all appear as well: Mary Magdalene (here nicknamed 'Maggie') is depicted as harboring love for Joshua, while Joshua remains celibate, and Biff compensates by an active sexuality of his own.

Now this bishop was not your typical catholic priest - he thought waaaay outside the box.

One of the things he noted was that Jesus didn't have any DNA from either of his human parents -
Never thought of that! Always kind of thought that Mary was in for half. But if Jesus was God then he couldn't take any DNA from Mary.

So to relate it to your post, them teenage years must have been ungodly so to speak.
