Really heartwarming. Shows just how smart donkeys really are.

(22,897 posts)I've always had a soft spot in my heart for donkeys-- this little guy is charming, intelligent, and mischievous beyond belief. How lucky he is-- and how lucky the wonderful couple who care for him are!!
Thank you for this!!

(32,015 posts)I've never had one or even met one -- however, consider that they are an animal that served man for centuries, yet has become one that is no longer valued any more, yet they are loyal, loving, and smart.
Have you ever read any of Jon Katz's books on adopting abused animals at his farm? The one about the donkey he saved from death -- called "Saving Simon" -- will make you cry, but it has a happy outcome.

(20,762 posts)They're why mule breeding happened- get some brains into a larger, more powerful critter.
'course, anyone who's worked with mules knows the smarts don't always translate into "Oh, sure, I'll do what you want me to...!"
Cute vid, thanks for posting!

(37,648 posts)I love home decor. The colors blend and move cohesively room to room. Paintings on the wall to bring everything together. You know how that is.
But I'd give it all up for a house full of love like that. You can't worry about your decorating pillows & nice rugs and have Tiny in the house!

(6,344 posts)That family worked hard to keep Tiny alive. The feeding frequency - wow! What a project he was.
But, look, phoof, he rewards everyone with his delightful nature.
I plan on sharing this with others! We can all be uplifted by this.

(29,675 posts)I have been trying to photograph this mule on my drive home from my gym. Her name is Linda and she hangs out with a herd of black angus cattle. Everyday I drive by the herd I look for Linda to see if I can get close enough to get a photo of her. One day they were in the pasture closest to the highway and I pulled over got my phone out and moved closer to the fense. I was calling, Linda, Linda come here girl......well she looked over at me and almost turned completely around showing me her rump. Id move back and forth, shed move back and forth, I could not get a shot, it was as if she didnt want me to photograph her. I swear Im going to get that photo if it kills me.
