at my grandmothers house. This was pre stereo days. My dad always loved that and had brought the album since we didn't have anything comparable to play it on. I have no idea what my reaction was as a preteen but after I reached adulthood it was one of the first LPs that I purchased. That was probably seventy some years ago and I love that piece to this day..

Played this with Andre Watts. It was a wonderful experience. Sitting at break right now working on Eroica. Beethoven, always good!

and that is what he played. He was so giving. He played and looked around the orchestra making eye contact with each of us. He was amazing, his touch was like nothing I have ever heard before or since. I will cherish that concert forever, it was a special one out of many but definitely one of my very favorites.
