Trump hung out in certain circles. He had a popular TV show. Appearance isn't always the primary factor of attraction.

With no judgment about materialism, I'm sure these women were attracted to the lifestyle Trump presented and were on board. I'd guess it's sort of the same appeal I'm sure Hugh Hefner had to always attract beautiful women who worked with him and were into that "scene".

The shocking part is that with McDougal and Daniels, it sounds like Trump's idea of post-coital cuddling was to pull out his wallet and try to pay them. They were both reportedly shocked by this and I'm just surprised that they wouldn't immediately walk out and never talk to him again for assuming they were hookers. I'm sure the possibility of working on one of his TV shows or as a spokesmodel at one of his resorts blunted the audacity somewhat.

It's actually more revealing that Trump was so insecure that he believed any attractive woman who would sleep with him was in it for the money. Some probably were, but some were probably genuinely "starstruck".

Sadly, it's also the same mechanism that allowed Harvey Weinstein to perpetuate his abuse.
