(205,358 posts)It didn't "stick" this time since it was in the 40s, but I'm not counting on it being over, either, here in New York.

(26,262 posts)However, it's close to 40 degrees so it's unlikely to stick. The forecast shows 1- 3" in the forecast for Monday. I hope that doesn't happen because my Daffodil buds are FINALLY looking like they might open.
In a normal year, my front gardens would be in beautiful bloom, by this time.

Sure sign that Spring will arrive soon
My crocuses, however, have barely emerged - let alone bloomed.

(26,262 posts)My Daffodils have been visible through the soil since mid-January and the buds on the ones next to the house are ready to open. I think tomorrow's weather, that's supposed to be in the 60's, might do the trick. I'm just glad it is such a hardy flower.

(7,754 posts)downright depressing. I guess that's why they call it climate change, not global warming. I'm on the West Coast and we are having a later than normal spring but only by a couple of weeks and trees are blooming and candy tuft is blooming everywhere and tulips and daffodils and paperwhites are all open in my gardens so it really does feel like spring. I'll think of you.

(40,416 posts)We got a trace of snow last night in rural west Michigan. Yup! It's still fucking cold.
Next Monday's forecast is for two more inches of the stuff.
