Time for a laugh...Interview with Mel Blanc, Letterman, 1981..Voice of Daffy, Bugs, and Porky and

Yosemite Sam ............many, many others...watch, enjoy, and laugh..a note to all..If you put together all the cartoons that Mel worked on, over 40 years, and realize that they were distributed everywhere. and millions upon millions of people have viewed them over all those years, in theaters and on TV. His voice overs may have received more laughs than almost anyone who acted in Hollywood.

was a famous line from the Jack Benny show, I did not know Mel Blanc was the voice on the insipid speaker box in the train station.

The train station scenes were always hilarious. I think Blanc did all the announcements on all of them.

Check out the one with the turkey give-away.

The cartoon character mispronounces a word for some reason.

Woody Woodpecker did it all the time, and it was never funny. He made a big "isn't this funny?" deal about it, which always ruined the gag.

When Bugs Bunny, voiced by Mel Blanc, did it, it was always funny, and usually very endearing.

"Look lady, I ain't ya baby. It's a case of mistaken indemnity. Yeah..."

"Ah dis New Orleens! I t'ink I'll stick around for the Madri Grass!"

Mel Blanc was a voice actor on the Jack Benny show, as well as appearances on several other shows. The original voice of Droopy Dog was a character on Fibber McGee and Molly, and the actor who played Fred Flintstone was on Life with Luigi. It's fun listening to the old shows and recognizing the voices of my childhood cartoon stars.
