How much snow was it?

Started Friday morning with hail, then switched to freezing rain and snow that did not end until last night. Went diagonally with major snow drifts.

Thus, we have a bird bath below the bird feeding tube. About 2 ft above ground. It is still completely covered.

Only the poor Junco was fluttering around, grabbing chips of peanuts before they sank

But Petee, who loves bread, "adopted" us last year, would come during storms to remind us that he is still there. Was grateful for the bread and then hopped back to wherever he and his buddies hide.

Oh, and about water during winter? Why we have a heated one, holds on during the snow and then, of course, we clear around so that birds and bunnies and squirrels have access to it.

It's been a horrible winter here in New York, we had four nor'easters in three weeks just last month, and it's obviously not over yet. And I love the bunny! We have bunnies, too! I also put out bread today and over the weekend, I was thinking of the birds that were fooled into thinking it was Spring, but knowing that the bunnies would like it is even better news - I put it out in the side yard where I see the bunnies most often.
