This is from one of my favorite eating places, at the Flint Farmer's Market:

(22,037 posts)I've had the same kind of thought lately when I wake up and find snow on the ground.
My fiancee works at Flint's Crossroads Village every August and we love going to the Farmers Market. Lots of great fresh food at very reasonable prices.
Thanks for the laugh, Siwsan!

(26,272 posts)I love the new location of the market, but have to admit that I miss the 'old school' ambiance of the old location.
Downtown Flint has a number of great little restaurants and cafes, now. It's nice to see my old home town coming back to life.

Now, if they'd fix the water problem...
I was born in Flint, but now I live in Flint Township, about a mile from the city limits. The township has always gotten their water from Detroit, but really suffered a lot of 'guilt by association' because of the name. There is a move to change the name, which I am very much against. I take great pride in my association with Flint.
And I seriously doubt most people in Flint will fully trust the water system, or the state government, ever again.
I used to take my niece to 'Christmas at Crossroads' but I haven't been there is far too long. Maybe when she's visiting with me, this summer, we'll make a pilgrimage.

We had a dusting of snow, last night. Right now, the forecast for 60 degree days is getting bumped further and further into the future. At this point, I'd settle for some sunshine.
