(25,902 posts)Lots of reading. Over 100 books a year.
Travel when I can.
Keeping up with friends. I've learned that if I talk with friends very often, it enhances the friendship. My very best friend, a man I've known since we first worked together in 1972, I speak with every single day. Often the conversations are short, but they don't need to be long, because we know what's happening in each other's lives.

I read massively about all kinds of subjects, something I learned when I understood that if I was bored by anything, it was my own fault.
When she's available and free, I spend time with my wife, just talking.
When they're available, I spend time with my sons.

Also passionate about nutrition & health. Anything to cheat Big Food & Big Pharma out of their obscene profits. Love reading, especially mysteries. Michael Connelly; I've read nearly all of his Harry Bosch series. Music, all kinds especially blues. My kids, and for REAL passion.....the boyfriend! (blush!)

(14,494 posts)Satisfaction from bringing something broken back to life. Retired field service engineer and systems designer, so not afraid (or dumb enough) to tackle most anything - so friends call me out on that often. Cars, electronics, washers & dryers, you name it. Last week was a car, a Keurig, and a storm door, LOL.
Mostly for retired or disabled friends that can't afford to call professional service companies - so the smiles on their faces is my reward. Very hard on my depression though, when I can't fix something.
Also enjoy reading about the many, many cultures around the world. Oh, and playing with my granddaughter!.......
