Nephew came up with a business name called, "Thank You for Calling How Can I Help You," so that you would answer the phone:
Hello, thank you for calling, Thank You for Calling How Can I Help You. How can I help you?

(50,562 posts)It would be a New Jersey/New York/Tennessee/Texas/German/Korean fusion bistro serving foods from everywhere I was stationed in the Army. It would have camouflage table covers, the lampshades would be made out of Army helmets, the servers would wear boots and wed have a traditional Dining-In once a quarter. And if I could find one, the building would be a Quonset hut.

(3,051 posts)Yes, all women play the "not there" game of shooting down your restaurant suggestions.
I'd say "Guess where we're going for dinner?"
Her first guess would be where we'd go.
Gotta keep 'em off center. This worked for 30 years.

(62,448 posts)sure wish we could get a decent hot dog or sausage around here.
I would name sandwiches after various breeds - like marinating a dog in brandy and call it a St. Bernard Savior

(54,437 posts)I loved the routine made up by Peter Cook and Dudley Moore about the fictitious "Frog & Peach" restaurant in the heart of a bog in the Yorkshire moors. But sure enough, some people in New Jersey actually opened up a restaurant called the Frog & Peach. I just hope their menu was somewhat more expansive than the two dishes offered by the original (Frog à la Pêche and Pêche à la Frog).
At a hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ, I once saw a place to eat called Ginsburg & Wong. Curious, I looked at the menu, and sure enough, you could order wonton soup or matzoh ball soup, Kung Pao chicken or cheese blintzes.
