Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Add canola oil to bottom of lasagna dish. Leave a thin layer on top to be able to toss the asparagus spears In the oil. Place on middle rack and cook for 7 minutes. Take out and rotate spears. Put back in for another 7 to 9 minutes. Watch. You'll see when they are caramelized. Serve. Garnish with grated real parmesan cheese. Enjoy. I used half the asparagus in a bundle. That is all the room the lasagna pan had as I had 1/2 inch between each spear.
