She's actually kinda stoked for it, too ... she liked "Thor" and "Captain America".
Not so much the two "Iron Man" films ...
and ... well, what can you say about an AngLee, er, angry Hulk ...

(17,863 posts)is simply awesome. Hiddleston does a great job with Loki.
I could not imagine a better Avengers movie. It is like the best comic book I have ever read. It is probably better than Spiderman 2 and Iron Man 1 and that is high praise. They are so true to the characters which makes it so charming. The Batman movies are entirely different and should not be compared with this movie. I don't think a JLA movie could not touch this one. It will be the gold standard for superhero team movies going forward. It leaves X2 in the dust (which was also a very good movie). It has the feel of the 1970s Avengers which I grew up with not the angst ridden book the Avengers has become. No mutant persecution complex like the X-Men. Just a group of misfits teaming up to save the world - who could ask for anything better. It shows the nobility of these superheroes.
Simply wow.

(5,352 posts)That was a great one and there were a couple with Thor that were really good--the second one that came out of nowhere had the whole theater laughing.

(6,238 posts)My other favorite scene was in Germany when the old man refused to kneel before Loki saying to him "there are always men like you" and Loki is about to kill him, right before Captain America saves him.
