just bought an l e d, LG teevee. no smart thing in it. Trying to hook it up and get the channels but my s.o. and I are having a disagreement about how to hook it up.
Should it be:'
cable to the box, box to the teevee?
Or cable to the box and let the teevee take care of itself?
Seriously, this is getting crazy and btw, I have the number 1 answer.

OP
Cable to box. Box to TV. Use an HDMI cable to connect box to TV. Set TV to the HDMI input.

Also, you'll probably have to look up your cable box remote control codes to control the TV too.

set the input on the TV to the HDMI (if you have more than one, you may have to search around on the input menu to find the right one).
That's my suggestion

Your TV and cable set top box likely use an HDMI cable, not coaxial cable like comes out of the wall?
