The Whipped Cream Lady who is the model on the memorable LP cover of the 1965 Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass' "Whipped Cream & Other Delights" is 76 now and living in Longview. Dolores Erickson wants to tell all you teen dreamers, "Enjoy the memories."

Note from Erik Lacitis:
This story, originally published in Aug. 2012, has been relinked numerous times on Facebook.
This is the third time in as many years that the Whipped Cream Lady story has gone to the top of seattletimes.coms most-read stories.
I called Dolores Erickson on Sunday, and she once again was thankful to her many fans worldwide.

(7,399 posts)3. I remember Herb Alpert very well. Sort of got run over by the Btritish Invasion, but when I hear
Tiajuana Brass these days it brings back memories from my childhood/adolescence.

I think I still may have a (CD) copy of that... (my Mom surely had the LP)
I'm so glad I grew up during a time when all kinds of music was celebrated... No wonder so many 20 somethings navigate toward 60s, 70s, 80s and some 90s music stations yeah, that may make me sound old, but I know a lot of millennials that will admit that many or even most of today's offerings are.... lacking...

I stared at it a lot.
Still love the music too. I think I'll look for a copy next time I'm in a used record store.

My older cousin gave me an LP every year for Christmas from time I was about 6 to 16 and I kept them all. Supremes, Beach Boys, etc.
