as an advocate for victims of domestic violence! I don't Patrick Stewart personally and I have never met him - I don't know him!

But it means a lot to me, as a survivor of domestic violence, that he understands what I went through and that I did nothing to deserve it!

Somehow, the two actors made us believe that the reknowned and dignified Captain Jean Luc Picard could turn into a 'younger brother' in his presence. A remarkably subtle bit of on-screen chemistry.

was the actor who played Robert Picard, Jean-Luc's brother. He is 83. Per Wikipedia, his last acting credit was in 1995.

He died in a fire with Rene, his son, in Generations, I think?

Picard could be Dixon Hill in actual 20th century San Francisco, not just the holodeck.

It is an unexpected but delightful surprise to find myself excited and invigorated to be returning to Jean-Luc Picard and to explore new dimensions within him. Read my full statement in the photo. #StarTrek @cbsallaccess Photo: @shervinfoto

"Star Trek" has always been about tolerance, diversity, and good triumphing over evil. We need to be reminded again--even through a television show or movie.

Star Trek: Discovery" begins roughly a decade before Captain Kirk's five-year mission.
Star Trek: The Next Generation begins 78 years after the James Kirk era.

I would think it will take them at least a year to get Patrick Stewart's series ready to air.
