Still, at least I won't come home from work to find someone parked in my usual spot on a regular basis and have to drive around the block looking for an empty spot.

I could ever have guessed that. Obviously, it's the perennial bar closing song I thought but, what do you know?

I'm not sure I get it either.

Thank you. Now I gotta think about moving into the new house (and get my brother-in-law to move his stuff out of my spare room since we have been letting them store some stuff in our rental....it ain't coming to my new place).

Once those papers are signed, a lot of uncertainty that has been nagging at me for the last few months will go away. Now I'll just have a mortgage payment hanging over my head for a couple of decades.

Of course my cats are going to be pissed for a few days as they acclimate. I already moved them 2000 miles three years ago so hopefully, we all will be in a forever home for real.

Chatter and Grendel are going to be hiding out.

Nugget is going to be "I must have reassurance so I'll follow you all around the house."

Mischief is going to be, "Eh, whatever." (He's the only one that will not hide when people come to visit. In fact, he demands attention from house guests the second they enter the door)

I bought my first house almost 5 years ago. First thing I did was paint every room a different color. After many, many years of off-white rentals I was ready for some color.

I just dread buying curtains. For what amounts to pieces of cloth with holes for a rod, they aren't cheap at all. If I was anywhere close to being good at sewing, I'd make them myself.

I have cheap ass mini blinds from a big box store. I didn't think about how much window coverings for 18 Windows would cost. When I first moved in I nailed yoga blankets up as curtains.
