Police in Germany rescue man being chased by baby squirrel

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/aug/10/driving-me-nuts-german-police-rescue-man-baby-squirrel

German police have rescued a man after he called for help saying a baby squirrel would not leave him alone.

Emergency services received a call on Thursday from the man, who claimed he was being chased down the street by the tiny animal.

Police in Karlsruhe said the unnamed man called them in desperation after he was unable to shake off the small rodent.

Officers sent a patrol car out to investigate and arrived to find the chase still in full flow. But the drama ended suddenly when the squirrel, apparently exhausted by its exertions, lay down abruptly and fell asleep.

Running a marathon race then skidding to a halt to take a nap,... that's odd.

I was horizontal on a picnic table in a campground. One came around and I tossed it a piece of a cracker. It ate it, then started looking at me for more. Kept tossing bits closer to me until it got up on the table with me. Then I started putting bits on my lower leg, and it got up on my leg, munching cheese & crackers. Sat there for three or four minutes. Then I had to move my leg to keep from cramping, and the little guy bolted. He didn't go too far, and kept eating bits I tossed, but wouldn't come any closer. When I sat up, he left for good.
