I always answer "Yes I do, but I'm not going to tell you".

From there it devolves to hems and haws, a warning and then walk away.

Ratted myself out on a taillight or something, I forget now but I still use the line. Helped break the ice recently when I got flagged for rolling through a parking lot to street stop sign. Right in front of him. Oops.
