Sadly, we are stuck with a Republican in McCain's seat until 2020

Because he did not step down before May 30 2018. The governor will select a Republican. Hopefully, Meghan McCain isn't eligible.

1. Why wouldn't Meghan not be eligible? Unless she is not Arizona resident.

2020, they would to place the reminder of McCain term in a general election and Arizona is trending away from republicans every year.
