We hate the ones that have a ton of buttons for stuff. We want on, off, loud, soft, large numbers and a radio. Is that asking to much?? Thanks.

(62,448 posts)Just couldn't find one that had a decent radio and a decent clock.
Understand that stores have limited shelf space and there is really not much call for a clock radio any more.
So I bought another C Crane internet radio ( I love the variety you can get on it) and a clock with an alarm.

(29,706 posts)we just want one that is easy to set up, has FM radio, and large numbers. Funny in some of the radios, lots have chargers, for iPad, iPhones, etc. bluetooth, and a bunch of other stuff WE DON'T WANT. Never really realized how hard it is to just get a basic clock radio with large numbers.

(29,706 posts)my husband who actually is the one that wants this clock radio, just fixed the one we had initially. He put tape over the buttons that we don't use. I know sounds easy enough, and why didn't we do this before. Well when our power goes out, it's the type of clock that you have to reset, and if you do hit a wrong button, the alarm will go off. We are both retired and don't need the alarm, so that button is covered with tape now and he said he promises he won't swear when he has to reset the time. So we are just using the one that started the whole discussion. Thanks for the suggestions and I will let ya know if he holds true to his promise.
