Michael D. Higgins has represented us with dignity over the last 7 years and normally there is agreement to let the President do a second term of 7 years ( it's largely a ceremonial role). However, this time a reality TV star of the Irish version of a business ideas show, is seeking a nomination to run against him. Supposedly rich, he says he mortgaged his farm to fund his campaign.... similarities ?
