Ahead of 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters,' an Official Prequel Graphic Novel Will Be Released

We still have to wait a while until we can inject Michael Dougherty’s gorgeous-looking Godzilla: King of the Monsters into our eyeballs, but we hope you take some small comfort in the fact that a graphic novel prequel will at least be coming out a month and a half before the movie.

Brought to our attention by Godzilla-Movies.com, the hardcover tie-in prequel will be released on April 16, 2019, with the movie following in its wake on May 31, 2019.

The official graphic novel was written by Arvid Nelson, illustrated by Drew Johnson.
