(884 posts)Ayo, I feel like Ive had about a thousand lives but all I am is an infinite reflection
I feel like Ive seen about a million skies and understand it's an intimate connection
I feel like Im fed about a billion lies and the source is a literate infection
My soul connects within the deepest of eyes for a wise and a moderate injection
Let us walk this land with an open mind Let me take your hand and together we can find
A pure reason to be loving and kind. Shut your eyes and let your soul unwind.

(19,201 posts)I can't think of the entire title. Paranoia something or other. It's late (or very early, rather). Time to get some sleep. Let me know if I passed the audition.

(19,201 posts)'Strange Brew'. Those songs were from my biological 'hay day'....Cream, what a band. Too bad they couldn't get along with each other. Actually Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker were the ones that battled all the time. Ginger had a way of getting under many people's skin. But lord, what a drummer!
red dog 1
(27,816 posts)Yeah, Ginger Baker did have that reputation.
Have you seen the movie "Beware of Mr. Baker"? (It's worth renting on Netflix)
The entire Cream album, "Disraeli Gears," was made over a single weekend, because the band's visa was about to expire.
They had to be out of the USA by 7 PM Sunday, and the producer got them into a limo by 5 PM Sunday.
He was blown away by their talent and professionalism,
(I guess Baker & Bruce didn't argue too much that time)
The album was a huge success.

(19,201 posts)Old age hasn't mellowed Ginger any, has it? Oh well, he is who he is. I'm just glad he is who he is, where he is, and not in my neighborhood. I still have my original copy of Disraeli Gears, the one with the "naughty" cover. It's pretty dog-eared and worn, but I wouldn't part with it for anything in the world.
