Emilio Estevez
Anthony Michael Hall

Andrew McCarthy
Demi Moore

I'm not sure why Mare Winningham, James Spader and Robert Downy, Jr. don't make that cut, or why "Weird Science" doesn't appear on their list of Brat Pack movies, but there it is.

John Hughes' first movie, and he also wrote the screenplay, I think.

(20,192 posts)7. I love Sixteen Candles BUT
there's some pretty creepy things in it, like the hunk, Jake, leaving his drunk girlfriend with the geek (Anthony Michael Hall) who has sex with her. It was funny in 1984.

.....between the character, "Steff", played by James Spader, in "Pretty in Pink", and Brett Kavanaugh? They're both just the kind of entitled douche who takes what they want because they can.

That is exactly who I was thinking of! I hated that character. He actually reminded me a bit of Trump when he was younger as well.

based on "The Breakfast Club?"
