What's interesting about this video is that the cat seems to understand that what he/she is seeing is his/her reflection in the mirror and not another cat.

The cat clearly recognizes that it is looking at its own reflection.

The mirror test is generally recognized as a good test for self-awareness. From what I've found, cats are generally accepted as among the animals that pass the mirror test.

Either this case is particularly intelligent or the generally accepted fact is not true.
